Warm up this season with a mesmerizing display of artistic magic

We here at Grove Arcade are thrilled to welcome one of Asheville’s most talented glassblowers, Jason Probstein. He will be performing live glassblowing demonstrations in Mountain Made, an art gallery located in Grove Arcade in downtown Asheville. Jason studied Venetian glass techniques at the Penland School of Crafts and used to perform his scorching-hot craft frequently at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Using a durable glass called Corning Pyrex and over 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit of heat, Jason creates one-of-a-kind works of practical art that stimulate the senses and elevate the craft.

Our hearts are heavy but hopeful as we navigate this natural disaster together as a community. The inside of the Grove Arcade is temporarily closed to the public until further notice. While the Grove Arcade is closed to the public, some of the restaurants on “Restaurant Row” are open and serving what they have at various times of the day. Please check their social media pages for their status as things change continuously. Some of our tenants have online stores that you can support, realizing that order fulfillment will vary with each individual situation of that store.
