Huli Sue’s BBQ is Downtown Asheville’s newest lunch and dinner hang out. Serving up Hawaiian style dishes like Ahi Poke, Huli and Mochiko Chicken, delicious smash burgers, salads plus a Hawaiian spin on Texas Barbecue. After just a couple of months in business, Huli Sue’s is receiving so much love and support from the community and they want to give that love back to the community wherever possible.
Soon to open on Wednesdays! Owners Lisa Vann and Ben Krueger can be found 6 days a week in their open-concept kitchen, smoking meats such as Heritage Farms Pork Butts and Baby Back Ribs or Creekstone Farms CAB Prime Briskets, or making big country desserts such as Banana Cream Pies, Haupia (Coconut) and Pineapple Upside Down Cakes. They encourage you to stop in and say hello, especially local business owners, as they are excited to collaborate with other businesses in the community and support local charities.
Huli Sue’s full service bar serves traditional Hawaiian cocktails including Blue Hawaiians, Lava Flows, Classic Maitais and other tropical Tiki style drinks. Beginning today, Huli Sue’s is offering $2 off any draft beer all day every Thursday!
Additionally, Lisa and Ben are adding more Hawaiian Style Mixed Plates, with Fried Poke (fresh fish tossed in house marinade with onion, cucumber and tomato and pan fried) and Pork Katsu (panko breaded pork loin sliced and topped with house Guava Bull-Dog sauce) coming soon! Both new bowls are served Hawaiian plate lunch style with 2 scoops of white rice and Hawaiian Mac Salad.
