Best Middle-Eastern Restaurant for Lunch in Asheville, NC

baba nahm asheville

When you’re walking around the streets of downtown Asheville and lunchtime strikes, Baba Nahm is an excellent option for a quick, fresh and colorful Mediterranean style lunch, with flavor inspired by Middle-Eastern cuisine. Their eccentric, colorful interior is just a foretelling of what is to come.

An Asheville local favorite, Baba Nahm offers “lightning-fast” food, but stands true to their promise; healthy food, no junk. Baba Nahm’s menu ranges from delicacies like chicken shawarma to vegetarian falafel bowls to tabouli, all made with locally sourced ingredients such as Joyce Farm’s all-natural chicken.

We visited Baba Nahm for lunch and ordered the excellent Fattoush Salad. It was an easy 10/10; the dish was a wonderful blend of romaine lettuce, creamy tahini dressing, tomato and cucumber, Sumac onions, pickled slaw, feta, tabouli and falafels. The meal was refreshing and filling, and we had some excellent left-overs for our second lunch!
