cajun-french coffee house comes to downtown asheville
AFTER MUCH ANTICIPATION, Bebettes, a New Orleans style coffee house, is NOW OPEN in downtown Asheville’s historic Grove Arcade. Everything in this Cajun-French, family owned shop is made in-house from scratch – down to the whipped cream!
Elizabeth and Matthew Bambarger have rebranded and upgraded their original Asheville location to the Grove Arcade, and with some new twists! “We love the history of the building and felt right at home with some of the french style architecture surrounding our shop” said Elizabeth, as everyone from the family is putting the final touches on the new cafe.

Must-try Food & Beverages
Bebettes has a variety of delicious and unique New Orleans french-style offerings, such as beignet sandwiches or chickpea coffee with house-made cafe au lait and New Orlean’s own Community Coffee beans. Everything they offer is either traditional or a twist on a family recipe, down to the house made chocolate sauce from Elizabeth’s Great Grandmother ‘Maw Lopez’! If you have never had a NOLA style cafe, they recommend the cafe au lait and a classic beignet covered in powdered sugar – you CAN’T go wrong.
Initially intended to open Spring/Summer, Bebettes owners are ecstatic to be finally opening the doors, and with some new COVID safety precautions in place.c
We are so excited to welcome the Bebette’s family into our home!
Asheville, come support this local family owned business while enjoying a taste of Louisiana culture!
